Craft Rave

To The First Ever Phoenix Craft Rave!

Local, yet nationally-known artists hold a ten-hour craftathon of make-and-take craft projects! First event of its kind in Phoenix!

What:

On Saturday December 4th, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. Phoenix will experience a first, a craft rave. What’s a craft rave? 10 hours of non-stop hands-on making action under one crafting roof! This isn’t another holiday craft sale – but a gathering space where artists will teach mini make-and-go projects and/or techniques to attendees. Instead of shopping for gifts, guests will receive the tools and instruction to make their gifts.

Attendees will enter the doors of Braggs Pie Factory and preview the artists stations to determine which projects they would like to create. For a fee ranging from $5-$15, guests can choose to learn crafts and techniques such as flower tiaras by The Phoenix Fridas, shrinemaking, fashion graffiti, needle felting, screen printing, tee-shirt yarn flowers and others. Guests will then make their way to the payment station to purchase the projects, stopping by the treats station or grabbing a coffee before heading out to get making! There will also be free crafting stations and empty tables where guest can bring their own projects they need to complete before the holiday.

In between making their masterpieces, guests can enjoy coffee, sweets and energy drinks. Instructors will also have their artwork for sale.

We will also have a donation drop off area to collect new art supplies to be donated to women and family shelters.
