I was at the Renaissance Hotel in Glendale, AZ on Friday for a convention. I was totally excited by the colors at this joint. So many pretty orange goodies everywhere. The carpets were my favorite with a sort of modern twist on Art Deco. Plus this girl can’t resist all things orange and pink – makes me happy. My next post will be about the event at the Renaissance – patterned papers galore – yum! Stay tuned. For now enjoy these pics of the hotel.

Vintage Modern meets guest blogger
Today – A guest blogger invites viewers to shop for vintage modern furniture – read on . . . . .
If your looking for Vintage furniture pieces from industrial to danish to deco check out my booth at The Trove in Scottsdale. I just started this month. Pretty much a bit of everything but focusing specifically on furniture. I have a warehouse full of stuff that I will be rotating through the space. I have Plycraft, Knoll, Herman Miller, Teak, Danish, Wakefield, Primitive, 40’s 50’s 60’s 70’s and 80’s. If I would have it in my house… I buy it, but since my house is full. . . I sell it! I tend to get the things people need like coffee tables, lamps, end tables, sofas, dining tables and chairs, lounge chairs, pairs and singles, credenzas, bedside tables, desks and a few kitchen items. I also have a soft spot for coffee mugs and vintage thermos. The space is less than ten by ten so check back often. Most of my stuff I am selling I have in a storage warehouse and I will take it to the Trove as I get it ready to go. Thanks for looking!!!

Kooky Krafts
Shhhhh . . . it’s way better then first Fridays – you can actually look at the art. We stopped by Braggs Pie Factory to see Carolina Escobar‘s show – wow – lovely. It looked like a museum show – great job Carolina. So much work though where will she store it when the show come down we wondered? Then we walked the dark and scary streets along Grand Ave. (ha ha) up to Beatrice Moore’s new endeavor. The Kooky Krafts Shop. Wow what a stunner this place is. I wanted EVERYTHING in there! It is a channel explosion. So Yummy I think my mouth was open the whole time I was in there. The three year old short one thought it was a princess fantasy land. Next weekend is the Grand Avenue Festival – check her new shop out then.
