I went to SXSW in Austin with the fun folks from Provo Craft and Sarah from 26-Letters to screen print with the YUDU in partnership with Standard Recording Company. The guys from Standard Recording made a fun tee shirt with cowboys shooting yarn that we screened for a couple hundred friends at the Dirty Dog Bar on 6th Street. The bands that played all day were great! Thanks Standard Recording for the great sounds. And since all crafty folks stick together we also hung out with Jenny Hart from Sublime Stitching, the gals from Austin Etsy and Martha from Sunday Afternoon Housewife. We pulled screens, shopped a bit from the other folks, listened to music and drank a little beer. The Austin Etsy folks had a lino printing and book making workshop going on. Later that night we also had dinner with Jennifer Perkins of the Naughty Secretary’s Club. Her jewelry is soooo great!

Willow Homes: Art and Crafts
The down-town Phoenix historic district called Willow had a home tour this weekend and as part of that the streets were closed off to raise tents for artists and crafters to sell their wares. I was happy to see all the goods for sale by local folks. I popped down with some girlfriends for the walk-about. We took a pack of dogs owned by our friend Jeff from Blabbermouth AZ – he lives in the hood! I discovered a bunch of goodies on the tour and loved chatting with all my peeps. Who’s in the photos: The charming handcrafted confections of Little Addictions, The floral accessories of Zebra Finch, The smart and crafty calendars by the Artsy Fartsy Fairy, The sweet little pins and art by Jolie Jour and The goodies from Modern Cat.
