A perfect foodie goodies day

Today spontaneously turned into a yummy foodie day. We started off with a delicious breakfast of hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, avocado and steamed spinach. Mid morning I started to dehydrate a stack of herbs I needed to get at before they went bad. Then on to tackle a giant zucchini a friend gave me from her garden. The Short One is here with me today so she requested that we bake. I decided to accommodate and bake some zucchini bread. I put a twist on it (thank you Paula Deen) by making it a chocolate zucchini bread! After it came out of the oven the Short One asked that I spread cream cheese on hers. That was a pretty yummy idea! Broiled Grapefruit and Figs

To kick off my Saturday morning I started with a broiled grapefruit and a fresh fig off of a neighbors tree, diced them, placed them on plain greek yogurt and sprinkled with cinnamon. It was so unbelievably delicious I just had to share the happiness that it brought me. mmmmmm . . .
