The other day I popped by my friend Kate’s studio called Modern Cat. Modern indeed! I was so impressed with her digs at Braggs Pie Factory on Grand Ave. that I had to take a couple pics of it all. She has the set up! She also took one of my Ellison Die Presses off of my hands. With all the new toys in my studio I had to make some room. So the last pic is of my press on a cart rolling into it’s new home inside her studio. Kate will make a good home for it.

Fun with crafty pals at SXSW
I went to SXSW in Austin with the fun folks from Provo Craft and Sarah from 26-Letters to screen print with the YUDU in partnership with Standard Recording Company. The guys from Standard Recording made a fun tee shirt with cowboys shooting yarn that we screened for a couple hundred friends at the Dirty Dog Bar on 6th Street. The bands that played all day were great! Thanks Standard Recording for the great sounds. And since all crafty folks stick together we also hung out with Jenny Hart from Sublime Stitching, the gals from Austin Etsy and Martha from Sunday Afternoon Housewife. We pulled screens, shopped a bit from the other folks, listened to music and drank a little beer. The Austin Etsy folks had a lino printing and book making workshop going on. Later that night we also had dinner with Jennifer Perkins of the Naughty Secretary’s Club. Her jewelry is soooo great!
