Here is how to write the letter:
Scottsdale public art is important to me/arts/my family/my children because[insert here]
Scottsdale’s public art program is a valley leader in the arts.
My experience/knowledge of it/staff is __________.
It is a program that should not only continue, but should continue to evolve as Scottsdale evolves.
Public art needs to have the ability to expand its funding, grants, and development options. In this economy, we need to do whatever it takes.
Economists and cultural studies have proven that our economies do not flourish if we do not open doors for programs that define our cultural landscape and built landscape, sense of community, or destination appeal. I encourage you to open this door, and if housing the public art program in its own nonprofit is key to the future of this community, then please do it.
Please continue to support Scottsdale Public Art.
Sincerely,
