I just returned from watching The Way, a film starring Martin Sheen. It is a story about walking El camino de Santiago, which is on my life bucket list. Ever since reading The Camino : A Journey of the Spirit by Shirley MacLaine years ago I have thought about doing this journey. This beautiful film set that further in stone for me. I loved Martin Sheen, I cried a lot and I so wished I were on the trek with those pilgrims. There were totally moments that didn’t work and that were not believable but each were meant to be metaphors and I felt like a viewer could take those moments or leave them and just as the personal pilgrimage is, everyone has their own experience.

The film is in theaters October 7, 2011. I will see it again!
