Non-Smoking Children

How about this doozy of a book I found at a thrift store?! I am super excited to see the use of children smoking to encourage them not to smoke. This little gem of a publication is put out by a dentist office. Great way to encourage kids to keep their teeth clean and white. It’s true, there are so many things you can do better when you don’t smoke kids!

Sometime WTF? Isn’t even enough!

Strolling through my local dollar store recently I came upon something so eye catching that I had to stop, pull out the camera and take some snaps. Now I fully understand that dollar stores bring in all sorts of crazy close out merchandise and that is half the reason I visit them but this went beyond for me. I am just thinking 1. who took these photographs 2. what designer thought it was ok to use on packaging and 3. how do the models feel about it? The tummy belt chic kinda looks like Heidi Klum at 18. Whoa – just look it over and enjoy!

Figs – Number Five

Okay so this fig post is not a recipe but a waving of the white flag. We have had a very fig rich week and now it was time to save them for later. So I pulled out my handy dandy Dryer and filled the shelves with the rest of the figs, dried them over night, allowed them to cool and then bagged them and placed them in the fridge for later use. Some “later use” ideas include a coffee/fig pudding that requests that dried figs be soaked in milk. mmmmm . . . maybe I’m not totally fig’d out yet!
