Eligibility – All Arizona ArtistsScottsdale Public Art is looking for artists who would like to participate in an exhibition in the Gallery@TheLibrary featuring artworks made with acrylic braid fibers repurposed from Randy Walker’s Spring Crossing installation for the Canal Convergence | Spring Equinox event in 2014.Spring Crossing was made with 35 different colors of UV resistant, solution-dyed 13/16”acrylic braid (commercially known as Sunbrella). Part of his proposal for this project included his desire for a second use for this material after his project de-installed.The exhibition is scheduled for display in the Gallery through Canal Convergence |Water + Art + Light 2016 and will be cross-promoted with the event. 15-20 artists will be selected and given 1 bag of fiber measuring approximately 2 feet in height and diameter as well as a $100 honorarium.More Info:

Explore: Canal Convergence 2015

Make your way to Scottsdale this week and visit one of our favorite events Scottsdale’s Canal Convergence 2015. This year’s event kicks off February 26 and runs through March 1, can be found along the Arizona Canal at The Scottsdale Waterfront between Soleri and Marshall Way bridges. Artists used the elements of water, art, and light to create innovative art installations and hands on activities along the canal banks. We enjoy stopping by this fantastic experience and if your interested in going here is a list of dates and times to check it out:
