Crazy crafters – bottle cap bowl

I am putting this inspiration post on this blog instead of my LovelyLula site because this kind of crafting is for the crazy people who are patience. That is not a descriptor that will ever be used with my name, the patience part. I saw this bowl at an event and so wished it belonged to me because I love it, it was not for sale though. I will never make it (no patience) so I’ll have to love it through pictures only. It is made from recycled orange crush bottle caps. It is just lovely.

Creative Escape 2010 SWAPs

What a day. I just returned from Bazzill after a day filled with SWAP exchanges, gearing up for the big weekend long event starting Aug. 26. We had a good time today filling bags with goody exchanges. The quality of work was amazing and there were a couple of people who may have done all 20 or so SWAPs. Whoa! Wondering what a SWAP is? Well it works a little like this, you pick from a listed category such as handmade flower hair clip. You make three identical handmade flower hair clips, send them in and then they get exchanged for three different clips by three different people. It went like that all day long for cards, inchies, scrap pages, aprons, charms, key chains, fat quarters and even tiaras. The list goes on and on. All of the participants will receive their exchanged SWAPs at Creative Escape. See you there!

Colorado Fabulous

Back to Phoenix in the heat but I know it is only a couple of months and we’ll be back in paradise. Boulder, CO for a week of work, research and play was lovely. It was warm there too mid-day but there were thunderstorms every afternoon which were so wonderful they washed the soul clean everyday. I accomplished so much work wise I am just walking in the clouds. I have new projects on the horizon that i am so excited about.  I also got plenty of play time and beer drinking in.

I watched paragliders on the greenspace of the front face of the Rockies
