Girls Crafty Weekend

This weekend my girls (well the local one’s) and I got together for a grown up sleepover, crafting weekend. We ate, laughed, ate, drank and crafted. We had butternut squash, pear soup with beet salad and fresh bread. We drank peach champagne with pomegranate seeds. We snacked on maple cookies and black licorice taffy.  We made holiday items to decorate with, stockings for new babies and gifts for friends and families. We had such a great time we all vowed to make it an annual tradition the weekend before Thanksgiving. Sending the kids and husbands on their way we will drink champagne, eat great food and make things with our hands – what could be better? Nothing. Thanks my lady friends!

Verde Yum

This week I went to Verde in Downtown Phoenix with my gal pals and we enjoyed some fresh Mexican dishes. There was even an option for our vegan friend to spite what we had read on other sites online. We all left happy and we were super deluxe pleased with our limeade – yum! I had the Green Chili Pork and it was delicious. It was so large I had enough to take left overs home to the Tall One which makes for a happy man with a happy belly. Today Sat. 8/14 there is a Smunch event at Verde. Starting at 10:30 am Verde will open it’s doors for Smunchers. Head on over and enjoy. Verde is located at 825 North 1st Street, Phoenix AZ

Colorado Friends Homemade Ravioli

While in Boulder last week I was treated to an amazing dinner of homemade ravioli. I watched the process from start to finish and while I was impressed both with the process and the crazy good taste I can’t imagine taking such a task on. On the flip side of that I may never be able to eat store bought ravioli again. This was served with a beautiful, fresh picked, from the garden salad.  Tom you are a genius in the kitchen. Cheers!
