Make at MADE

The workshop at MADE was a fun one yesterday – thanks to all who came out to play. We made many, many V-day cards and love letters. We looked at poems, quotes and craft materials for our inspiration. There will be more opportunities in 2010 to pop in for a workshop at MADE. Hop over to their site and join the mailing list so that you are informed or subscribe to my list and I’ll let you know. Get inspired here though and get to making your own love notes! Here’s some pics from the day.

Peacocks, Peahens and chickens oh my

This week I have been teaching the  workshop “How to write and illustrate you own book” for tweens out in Glendale, AZ. This setting is so amazing, so calm and so beautiful. The historic Fruit Packing Shed at Sahuaro Ranch Park is surrounded by animals and nature. During my lunch breaks I have enjoyed writing and drawing and feel accomplished from just my hour a day free time. Today we were visited up close by a Peacock, his lady Peahen and their baby pea’s. I also captured some pics of a few loud chickens. Tomorrow for lunch I will forage at the fig trees, pear trees and grape vines.
