Thrift Store Discovery

A stop off at a thrift store the other day lead me to a fun little discovery. There was a white board for sale and amazingly no one who worked there read what was written and just left the words on or maybe they did read it and found it as amuzing as I did.

The center says “At one time I used to hate you – Now your just another problem to work through” The side says “like smoke you look like you’re there but when I need you you’re no where”

Here’s the proof in pictures:

Peacocks, Peahens and chickens oh my

This week I have been teaching the  workshop “How to write and illustrate you own book” for tweens out in Glendale, AZ. This setting is so amazing, so calm and so beautiful. The historic Fruit Packing Shed at Sahuaro Ranch Park is surrounded by animals and nature. During my lunch breaks I have enjoyed writing and drawing and feel accomplished from just my hour a day free time. Today we were visited up close by a Peacock, his lady Peahen and their baby pea’s. I also captured some pics of a few loud chickens. Tomorrow for lunch I will forage at the fig trees, pear trees and grape vines.
