So the day started out with baking of cupcake and cookie “blanks” to build the sugar fun. We decided it would be a mid-century modern house of a Hollywood producer with a dog named Princess. We were thinking 60’s party scene with cocktails, a turn-table, records and so on. Once the cutting of the shapes and the frosting began the look kind of quickly turned a bit more Flintstones. We had a lot of fun though! What a great holiday baking day!

I love the ho ho holidays this year. Not sure what has gotten into me – maybe the new babe. I just can’t stop playing the Christmas carols – I even made a Pandora station – “Rocking Holiday” Today is uber baking day to make fun stuff to be included in a bake goods book coming out in 2010. I’ll post that fun later. For now here’s some fun taking place around my house.

Tomorrow Saturday December 5 is Indie Chic @ 10th Street at the ASU Art Museum in Tempe. There will be over 30 participants including me! The fair is at Southeast corner of 10th Ave. and Mill St. at ASU Art Museum in Tempe from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. I have been having so much fun in the studio making goodies for this event at the museum. Stop by and visit! Here are some pics of just some of the goodies I will have on hand – plus there are still many more. These could not be included in the photos because they are still wet and drying but they’ll be ready in the morning!!
